Title: Wanted: 72/73 175 Kickstarter Shaft
Post by: adrian_goold on April 20, 2009, 10:52:11 PM
Hello,

i am about to put my motor back together and realized that the kick shaft was sheared.
Any chance anyone would have a good usable one for the early 175 motor?

regards,
Adrian

I'd like to thank JP for his help.
He actually sent the kick shaft out to australia before i had even forwarded any funds his way.
Thank you.
FYI, bottom end is together and probably have it in the bike by tomorrow!

Adrian, you dont know how lucky you are to have found a doner of this part. I bought the last available one off of Al B. about 3 years ago now.
A very rare part along with the clutch plates...

Raymond,

Yes i heard they are hard to come by, other option was to convert it to the later larger shaft.
i saw one only a few weeks ago on ebay which went for good money as well.
Bike is together now and will be taken for a run at the Australian CD6 (classic dirt 6) weekend in a week and a bits time.
