On 24.May 2009 will be a local KTM meeting in Hallein, Austria. A little show with bikes from the beginning up to 1978. 20 bikes and never shown pictures from Mr. Kronreifs privat Album and other never shown pictures from the early years. Penton Riders welcome! More information ( in German )

Lucky!! I bet Fritz could show you good time. I would:
1. Go to Augustiner monastery in Salzburg for "services"
2.Go to Trzesniewski in Vienna for Sandwiches and check the Spanish Riding School nearby (very impressive);
3. Pack a massive trunk full of Pillon Dorino Penton parts when in Italy. It might be worth flying business class to get the extra weight allowance for those parts!

Thanks for the kind invitation, greatly appreciated. I think the wife has already established a schedule for the entire trip. I hope to at least get close to Salzburg during the visit but we will see. Possibly next year? Thanks Again
For those who could not come to Hallein! There was something to see – the first KTM a R 125, Mecky Roller, Mirabell, Tourist, Trophy, KTM Comet Mopeds, 125 GS, X-Bow and a great photo show with never shown pictures. Some guests from the first time of KTM - Edi and Inge Kranawetvogel, Egon Dornauer, he won the first Gold medal for KTM at the Six Days 1956 in Garmisch! Manfred Magnus, Siegfried Stuhlberger and other Racers. Also Erika Trunkenpolz visited this meeting. Also seen designer Gerald Kiska! Kalman Cseh and Hubert Baum from KTM. From the KTM factory we had around 15 bikes for the show – many thanks.
