Title: Enduro dual sport DOT tires
Post by: 454MRW on May 09, 2009, 11:53:47 PM
I am thinking of getting a set of pirelli MT21 DOT legal on/off road tires, but the sizing has me confused. The front 90/90R21 is a no brainer because the chart calls it a 2.75/300, but the rear 110/80P18 does not show up in any conversion charts. The closest is a 110/90, which is a 4.00/4.25 Any ideas on the size of a 110/80? Thanks, Mike.

Mike,

My understanding is that the /80 and /90 are the profile numbers and the 110 is the width.  If that is correct then the 80 sits lower than the 90.  Dwight could tell you for sure as he sells them to dealers but that was my understanding.  I could be all wet.

That makes sense to me. Thanks Larry! BTW do you have any more 520 chains in stock? Mike
