Title: great bike/vintage bike link
Post by: OhioTed on June 07, 2009, 07:52:41 AM
If you're like me, your interest in motorcycles is quite broad.  In addition to our beloved Penton motorcycles, we like reading about and checking out photos of, all kinds of cool bikes, both modern and vintage.  I've searched out all kinds of links for bike info, but found this one to be one of the best.

Hope you find the material interesting and informative.

Ted - thanks.  That IS a cool site...I can appreciate just about EVERYTHING that has two wheels - it's all art in my eyes.   A Rocket 3 custom!! Who knew?  And what a great TT photo - I've been reading about it EVERY DAY this week - anything I can find!   I don't know if you Tree-Bangers can appreciate it or not - but check out one of those "on-bike" videos from the TT sometime.  It's very simple really -  We Are Not Men.  And those TT guys are. Side story for everyone... Valentino was AT the TT races this year..and greeted John McGuinness at the finish line of the Superbike TT race.  A race where John had AVERAGED over 130 mph for each of his 3 laps around the island.

And it's cool that they posted some Reliability Run photos, including one photo of The Fastest Woods Rider in America in the early 70's (not to mention his under-appreciated Moto-X skills).

I've saved the site to my favorites..again, thanks Ted.

Thanks Ted! Cool site. There is NO coverage of the TT in the US. Have to depend on Youtubers. Those guys are freakishly talented and oblivious to mortality. Then between races you see the patrons zooming past minivans making their way around the mountain course. Here goes another GREAT site but it is just getting into motorcycles. It features a Bator auction that happens to incl.a Penton Berkshire of unknown vintage.  http://bringatrailer.com/
