Hi All, if you feel so inclined, here is Ambr's address at boot camp.  She would love to hear from any and all, but make sure to spell her name as below.  The Navy mispelled her name in files, so from now on it has to read like below:  

SR Milakovic, Amber, L.
Ship 05  THU
Recruit Training Command

Great Lakes, Illinois 60088-3119

I too am proud of her.  Even though I have never met you or her, I work with the Soldiers and Marines on a daily basis, I can tell you, the caliber of Men and Women in the service today is infinitly better than when I was in 1974.  These men and women are tough. Ambr finished basic last week, and I keep trying to get her to post something, but she's pretty busy and will get to it soon.  Here's a glimpse of how she did:  graduated no problem, #1 female in her division during training with an 11:15 mile-and-a-half run, 130 push-sups in two minutes, and 95 sit-ups in two minutes.  She lost about 10 pounds and two uniform sizes and when I saw her last weekend she was cut!
