I knew it was tomorrow...right[B)].  Happy Birthday Mike.  We always had to turn Bob around backwards at the starting line for jumping the start....man those rubberband burns hurt you neck unless you know how to duck[:0].

Thanks Ron,
Now I have the perplexing decision of whether to enter the Reunion Ride as a 50+ rider, and try to keep up with the experienced Veterans, or just enter as a specific class rider and get ran over by the athletes of the younger crowd. Maybe I should get a big arrow for my Jacket that says, "slower rider in the right lane, pass on the left". Mike

If you sign up for the 50+ class,I just turned 50. I think the 50+ class is what I will sign up for. That way I can ride with with someone my age. Not with the younger crowd.:D:D  Later Gary

Guys, I hate to tell you but from my experience the 50+ class is harder to win than the displacement classes.  50+ riders are a bit more polite and considerate but in my racing experience faster deeper into the class than dispalcement classes.

Regardless Mike, Happy Birthday and your attitude will allow you to have fun always.  Best wishes to a good guy.

I have an off topic question for you guys in the "know", Ahrma rules wise. Can a motocross bike such as an 78 RM125, 78 RM250, 76 RM370, or 78 RM400 enter in the Reunion Ride as long as it is outfitted in Enduro trim, Headlight, tail light, silencer, Etc. like a 79PE250? I assume the RM125 would be class legal for Post Vintage under 200cc, and the others Post Vintage open, and maybe the 76 370 in Historic? As I understand it, If I enter as 50+, it doesn't matter which bike I ride displacement wise. Is this correct? Mike

You are correct Mike.  That is one of the bad parts to age class sometimes.  You might have a Historic bike and another guy has an Ultima bike which has a lot better suspension.

I am thinking I should be working on rebuilding my rode hard and put away wet 76 RM250 or finish my 76 RM370 and setting one of them in PE trim for the Historic class. A PE370? plus I like the lower ride height of the 76 models. Mike

Larry, the skill of the plus 50 class is deep and is indeed hard to win. Last year I added a vintage bike my  race stable and I realized something kind of cool, I go as fast on that vintage bike as I do on my PV bike. The only difference is the amount of travel....
None the less, I have really enjoyed being in the plus 50 class..... a great group of guys....

In both MX and CC the 50+ class is always one of the toughest. I think the best race of the weekend at Marion a few weeks back was Ernie Phillips, Chicago Jerry and Tim Hamilton in Vintage 50+.

I will be riding a vintage "PENTON" next year in that same class,+50
and it will be fun to see how we all match up. Jerry,Ernie & Tim
are all very good riders.Only thing I need to do is buy a book about how to "SHIFT" a motorcycle,it has been a long long time since I had a shift lever.

Mike, the Mint will be a lot like your Rock-On, just put it in third gear and pretend its an auto.
