Wanted / For Sale / Carb to airbox Boots
January 26, 2006, 01:13:42 PM
I am in need of a air boot for the 74 250 harescrambler I am rebuilding. It has a lectron carb and the air boot that is on it is the offset style you described as fitting the 76 models. I would be interested in ordering with you. I have gone to their website but I can't get the link that shows their rubber products to load. Let me know when you are going to order and I will send you payment. My email is [email protected]. Thanks, Terry

Penton Talk / Penton Project
May 08, 2006, 12:18:39 PM
I just wanted to thank every one on this website for the wealth of information. I don't post here very often but visit this website all the time. I completed my 250 harescrambler project and I am so happy with the way it turned out. I got it all together and it started on the 3rd kick! I got most of what I needed from Al Buehner and some things from Ebay. The exhaust I got from Ace in Houston, it looks great, has a little bark to it but not too loud. It runs great and makes me feel like I am 25 years old again. The guy across the street from me loves motorcyles and couldn't believe it was a 1974. He said that was the year he was born! I can't wait to try it out in the dirt. I have some before and after pics of it but am not sure how to post them.
Just about all the info I needed I was able to find here using the search link to the forum. Thanks again guys!

Penton Talk / Tire sizes

I am new to this site but have watching it for quite awhile. I recently aquired a 74 250 Harescrambler that I am restoring. I want it to ride. I want it to look nice but but it doesn't need to be a museum piece. The tires I want to replace are a 300/21 and a 400/18. What are the correct metric size I should get to replace them? Also I need new sprockets and chain. It has a 13 countershaft and a 52 rear sprocket on it now. Anyone know where I can get new sprockets?
Any help would be appreciated.
