Wanted / For Sale / Jackpiner Exhaust Pipe
July 01, 2007, 12:16:11 PM
Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket exhaust pipe made for the Jackpiner...?  I have tried Circle F, they only make a pipe for the Six Days.  Reason, my OEM pipe is in nice shape and don't want to damage it while racing...and it's so quiet and all, but racing MX I could use more hit at the cost of a bit more noise.
Thanks

Penton Talk / Jackpiner Carb
January 17, 2007, 04:51:21 PM
I have two 1972 Jackpiners...one with a 30mm Bing that runs great.  The other with a 32mm Bing that runs rich.  I have jetted as lean as Bing makes jets and it is still to fat.  I say rich, although I should quantify that statement...if I ride the bike, it screams pretty good.  But, this is my wife's bike and she likes to putt around so it loads up real bad.
Anyway, I am not having much luck locating a 30mm Bing, which leads me to my question...does anyone know of a supplier that makes a carb to cylinder boot or fitting to adapt a Mikuni or Keihin carb (or is this question total sacrilege...?)

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Penton Talk / 175 motor installation

Hello,

I have two 1972 175's that I purchased over the last two years or so...I've had both engines out of them, but struggle each time to get the motor back into the frame.

Are their any tricks to installing a motor in a Jackpiner...?

Such as installing from one side or the other, tilting the motor in some way to get it in, standing on one foot, etc.)

Any advice would be helpful...

Thanks

Penton Talk / Jackpiner Carbs?
April 12, 2006, 01:22:53 PM
I have two 1972 Jackpiners...they are close to identical bikes, but one has a Bing Type 84 32/101 and the other a Bing 30/101.

Does anyone know if both these carbs came stock on Jackpiners in 72, or was one swapped out by a previous owner...

Thanks a ton for any information.

Penton Talk / Penton 125 Poster

With the assitance of Randy Kirkbride, I am having the poster of Tom Penton wheelieing a 75 Penton 125 Six Day thru a field of tall grass reproduced.  They will cost around $35 per copy and are about 17X24 size.  Is anyone interested in a poster...?  Let me know.

Thanks

Hi, when I was a high-schooler I had a poster of Tom Penton wheelieing a 75 Penton 125 Six Day thru a field of tall grass...I beleive the poster came with a magazine, like Dirt Rider in the days of the four page sized pullout posters.
Does anyone know what magazine, month or year or a possible remake of that poster...
Thanks
