My Father N Law bought a new penton MC and put it in storage in 1981, So we decided to get it out and make a christmas gift for him.
I was supprised this thing is in exceptional shape, But, I know nothing about these bikes, so here it is, can anyone enlighten me.

S/N: 54601 88125      Orange Penton with White Fenders.  

Still turns over, has spark, everything is there except the head light, Must have been taken off at some point, even has the leather tool pouch and tools on the tank.

I am looking for some direction on what to do, I would like to fix this up and give back to him, but, do not want to ruin any value or quality of the age by restoration, The fenders are a little yellowed from setting, however, under the seat the rear fender is perfectly white.  They had emptied the gas out when they stored it, Thankfully.

I would appreciate some knowledge.  I don't have any problems doing the work I just want to do the right thing.
