I am looking for information on a couple small details. I have two 125's, one 402 and one 404. The 404 came with a fiberglass RH numberplate but the 402 has the chrome guard and separate plate. Is this right? Both have small tanks and high seats but only the 402 has the chrome trim on the seat. Is this right?

Rick
I have a 401 and it has fiberglass RH number plate which covers the pipe. Has a small tank and trim on the seat.

A bit off topic. What would you recommend using to clean out a 74 125
plastic tank that had gas in it from a round 1980. Its very gummy.
Thanks

Penton Talk / 74 -125 swing arm
January 22, 2015, 09:28:20 PM
I am working on a 74 125. On the inside of the right side of the swing arm there should be a tab ( mine either broke off or prior owner cut off) that angles in toward the wheel and then up ( with a hole at the top ) which I believe attaches to the chain guard. Can some one give me the dimensions of the tab?? I need to fabricate this piece.

Thanks

Hi ,  new member,  although I have been looking through the site for the past 3 years. I have a 1974 Sixday which I plan on bringing back to life .  I bought the bike in the summer of 1974 from the first owner who had it about a month. His mother made him sell it after he broke an arm and leg. His misfortune, my gain.  I rode the bike almost every weekend, trails and power lines, nothing competitive , with close friends thru 1978  until the  first child arrived. The rest is history. I will be asking questions and needing parts . As an aside I just finished (after 9 years ) a frame off restoration of a 69 Datsun 2000. Hopefully this won't take as long.
Thanks for the help in advance.
