Ric, Sorry, I don't really know how the suspension works, because I bought the bike, rebuilt it, and then didn't want to thrash it in the woods! I basically have only taken it for spins in the field, and it runs great, just have not really tested the suspension. Thanks, Mike

hey thanks for the info. ill be sure and check it out. i live in chautauqua county ny. its on the very western end of ny. ive run harescrambles and enduros in ny and pa. i sold my ktm200exc a couple of years ago, but i missed riding. i came across this penton and decided it would be nice to be able to touch the ground again. and of course because it was a penton. so time and money depending i would like to maybe run a few WNYOA or ECEA enduros.     mike

i have a 1974 250 hare-scrambler for sale. i bought it a couple of years ago to do a few enduros on. but its too nice to take out in the woods and thrash on. ive gone over the whole bike and set it up for enduros. im asking $2500.00 for it although i have more than that in it.     thanks.    mike.

hey guys. im thrilled to be a new member of POG. i rode pentons back in the 70's, and KTM's more recently. i bought a 74 1/2 250 hare scrambler thats in pretty good shape that i want to trail ride and maybe run in a few enduros. im wondering if anyone can help me find some original bend high bars to fit this bike. i have stock 7/8 inch bar clamps. i need tough bars to bounce off of trees. i know, im supposed to miss those things! i appreciate any help. maybe ill see you in the woods! thanks alot    mike.
