I'm looking for anything and everything relating to John Buffaloe's races he promoted in the Hoosier National Forest in the '60's-early '70's.  Pictures, rider recollections of the event and anything else would be most appreciated.

I was told that Gunnar Lindstrom nearly won one of the runs before his bike broke.  If anyone knows how to contact him that would be much appreciated as well.

My goal is to put together an informational recollection about these legendary events for my web site.  Sadly John's house burned down some years back taking everything he had about the races with it.  I kidnapped him one day and we drove around the HNF together while he shared his recollections of the event and even walked back to the site of his last cabin.

John's still with us and the Buffaloe 500 dual-sport event is named in his honor.

'72 "Texas" Berkshire

I read that John Born had his father's Honda 90 at one of the recent POG meetings.  Just before Al's death I had contacted him about doing a feature on his little Honda for Still...Keeping Track.  John, if you're reading this please consider doing this in the future.  I'm fascinated with small Hondas in general of that era and "specials" built up for competition in particular and would really enjoy seeing and hearing about what went into "The World's Fastest Honda 90."
