I've done the same thing, but had to go down a size on the slide. It had GEM reeds and an ace pipe. In hindsight I would have opted for the 34 as the 36 was bored out to 36.5mm and I had case clearance problems with the carb with the 36 not to mention lining up and modifying the airbox to fit the angle of the carb.

I had a TZ 350 do that to me. What was really weird was that I had to punish start it. Backing off the timing cured it.
