Interesting ST Penton concept. Bike sold at a fair market value. Move on Penton ST's. The mark moves forward with restorers and confidence.

Wanted / For Sale / Sachs 100cc Sunburst Head Needed
February 03, 2011, 07:55:44 PM
Gents,
I thank you all for your informational contributions and my search is a little more condensed for my needs. I do have 2 ST 125 heads to barter,a 125 ST cylinder/piston in good shape at 54.5mm and flywheel case with no damage. Hope to find the desired 100cc ST head and we can talk.

I plucked what I believe to be a very, very late 1971 ST Berkshire enduro (V6580) from all places but a vintage church basement in central/eastern Indiana. The church was converted to a residence apartment and I thought I walked into 1970 ish all over again. Chevelle parts, big blocks, L88 hoods, 4 El Caminos and bikes. I left with 4 bikes and the renter was begging me to take a rough 1984 KTM 125 for free. My truck was overloaded and I could not accept or I would have lost it going home.

In summary I look forward to locating a ST 100cc head.

Mike G.-I appreciate the fin machining concept offer and may need if I fail at my ST 100cc search.

Ron C.- I look forward to hearing what you might have to assist me in my needs. FYI- the 125 5A I bought from you 10 months ago is purring well in the restored 1970 Six Days. Thanks again.

Wanted / For Sale / Sachs 100cc Sunburst Head Needed

Dale/Gooddirt,
Thanks for the input. I am leaning that the casting numbers are not always correct as both my 125 5A's have the casting designation of 0613-109-097-GK which contradicts the 100 cc manual numbers.
Both my 125 heads have a 36 mm inner dome diameter.

Anyone know the inner dome diameter of a correct 100cc head? As mentioned earlier I am still wanting to buy a alum sunburst head.
Thanks,
Mark

Wanted / For Sale / Tank Sealing

James,
Based on careful reading of members input, previous experience and a  lining of my 70 steel tank last week I would highly recommend a product by Caswell. See their webpage "caswellplating.com".
Product no. is GTS1750. Product shipped is enough to do two normal size bike tanks. Cost is $39.99 and shipping to my residence in NW Indiana was $13.50 or so for a total of $53.50.

I am a new member to POG and am restoring my V2327(six days) and V6580(berkshire)for my personal collection. Along the way I have acquired another V3842(six days)and would offer to sell/trade the following items to assist in my restorations before posting on E-Bay. Here's what I have:
V3842 Frame with swingarm
Front wheel assy with hub/brakes(rough rims)
Rear wheel assy with hub/brakes (rough rims)
Forks complete(no pitting-great shape)
Upper/lower triple clamp assy
Alum. air cleaner internal housing
Headlight brackets
Rough chrome headlight
Brake stay arm (rough finish)
Bing 27 mm carb
3 Sachs engines(1970-1971) of varying state

Here's what I am looking for:
1969-71 gas tank (better than rough)
1970-1971 exhaust pipe (better than rough)
CEV tail light assy in decent shape
100 cc Sachs engine(5A) or decent 100 cc top end
Plastic external air cleaner housing

I want to thank the folks for this site as without the POG members I would not be re-living the early 1970's again. I am not an expert as 98% of POG mebers so be patient if I have mis - described certain items. I want to thank Al B., Clay Light and Ron Carbaugh for their special help to date. I reside in NW IN and can ship/receive all within domestic reason. Please contact me at [email protected]
