Wanted / For Sale / Re: Aluminum 36 hole rims
September 12, 2023, 01:40:33 PM
What I have is a 36 for Radaelli Chrome wheels that came off at 1972 six day bike. The wheels are rusty but straight no major dings are dents. Since chrome plating is expensive my thought was just to have them powder coated and use them on my next project. There are spokes that come with it but not a complete set.

I am thinking that my problem is less carburetor issues and more engine seal or gasket leak.I am going to try all the suggestions from the other members, but check the seals and gaskets for leaks first.

I would like to thank everyone for all of their help, support, and suggestions. I will definitely try them all until I get this mystery solved. It's great to get suggestions from experienced individuals that give me direction of where to go next. This is a great website to be able to learn from experiences from other members. I will keep everyone posted on what worked in my case.

It starts and runs for 10 seconds then goes lean (Big Time) and quits. I did a total rebuild about 4 years ago including a carb cleaner soak. it was better but not right. Both the needle and seat were changed at that time. I didn't change the slide and will do that next. Also, does someone make block off plates to pressure check the engine for air leaks?

My Penton has a metal front fender, but has a plastic rear fender? Was the rear fender suppose to be metal in its 1972 bike.
