Penton Talk / Jack Piner 175

Isn't there a big vintage race in Ohio? Would like to get to that this year. Still trying to figure out what this orange 400 Penton I am getting is. I'm thinking of keeping that one to ride. Need to find some parts for that one though. Some of them were stolen.

Thanks everyone. That is the one I was looking for Rob. I matches that bike exactly. Now I need to get to replacing a few parts (fenders, grips, cables) mine has an enduro light (built in to the number plate). That might have been swapped out at some point. Where were these pictures taken. Would like to visit.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the reply. I have the years for the two bikes. they are both 1974. The 175 is supposed to be a Jack Piner. I need to know  how to identify a Jack Piner bike. It was painted and I have restored the paint I want to make sure everything else on the bike is correct.

Hi all
New to the board and happy to have a place to come and talk Pentons. I just purchased a 74 Jack Piner That I am restoring and a 250. What are some of the things to look for that are on a JP bike. The tank was blue but does not have the indentation at the rear of the tank like I have seen on line with a lot of the JP bikes.
What exactly identifies a JP 175? Also will be getting another 400 with a orange frame That is missing some parts. I want to restore these correct.

Thank you all for your help
Ron
