Thanks everyone.I had a bad crash trail riding alone which took me off 2 wheels in 86. I am now 58 and have the common sense to ride normal so I bought a 71 Steel tank. Then I find out about Penton Owners Group and its unbelievable all the intel out there. I just through the question about the worth of my brothers 250 just see the answers. We like collectable cars and motorcycles and I don't think he has plans to let it go. He knows it's rare. But thanks for all the great and funny responses. I don't know how to post photo's. The bike has been stored in my brothers family room since 1980. He bought it from the parents of a Vet who unfortunitely did not return home. The white fenders have faded a little but other then that, it is brand new. John Penton signed it and called it a waste of a perfectly good motorcycle. Thanks for your interest.

Does anyone know someone who can custom cut high density foam for a long seat steel tank. I have the original foam they can copy. Thanks Everett

My name is slacker. I have retired to northern Wisconsin. I trail ride a 71 steel tank 125. It is original but my rear fender has a piece broke off it's end. I would really like to clean this up by replacing it with a whole fender. Dents and scratches are not a problem. I will for everything.

I am getting ready to retire to northern Wisconsin where I have 100's of miles of flat, hard packed sand to ride my 1970 steel tank. I have been looking for a used rear fender to replace the broke off one I have now. I want to leave it in it's original state so that is why I want a used (whole)one. Dents and scratches are not a problem. I will pay all costs. Thanks Slacker

I have tried to remove my clutch case on a 71 Steeltank 125 and it won't come off. I removed the shifter and kick starter and 7 pan head screws and tried tapping it with a rubber hammer and it seems tight. I am afraid I will break something. I even tried to run a razor blade around the gasket seam but it's tight. Any ideas? Thanks Slacker
