Hello I'm new to the forum, My name is Paul Dahley and my 14 year old son and 16 year old daughter hill climb motorcycles. I pick up dirt bikes when I come across them, that interest me. I have a 1982 ktm wr250.I can't find out much about this bike. The frame number is 107 3029 and the engine number is 541.Questions that I have is this motor the same as the 542 in the mx. Does wr stand for wide ratio. Was the wr a desirable bike that people wanted. The bike has twin rear shocks and is in pretty good shape. I have pictures but don't know how to post them, could email them . I would like to know a little history about the wr's. This bike is to nice to hillclimb. The airbox boot to the carb is cracked up, I would imagine that is impossible to find.Thanks for looking or any information about the wr's.
