What u guys think restore or not and what has more value. i some times think that there is a guy that wants to restore himself and they might come harder to find unrestored which may increase value. i don't sell my bikes. but do not want to ruin the value and i do believe every bike should be used and enjoyed.

hi I am Hannes out of washington state. My passion for motorcycles started when i was 10. My dad traded a bay window for a beat up honda trail 90.  it had no spark. So we cleaned up the points and bumped started it and off i went. Ever since that i was hooked. i then traded it, for a broken hodka dirt squirt 100. i love getting broken bikes and fixing them. this is other reason why i love vintage. so simple to work on. i started getting getting into motocross and wanted to buy a modern cr125. That scared my parents and some how they thought i should buy a streetbike instead. didn't make sense to me. i was 16 then and bought a yamaha seca II 600 (everything i own i worked for) and rode all year to high school rain or shine. only kid at school that rode and all the girls wanted a ride. Man that was a great time. i'm 29 years old now and still collecting bikes. its better then paper money or at least i think so.

i first saw this dirtbike in a shop buried behind hundreds of harleys. At first glance it was the prettiest dirtbike I've seen. Not the condition, but the style. i live in washington state on the coast. stuff rusts to the ground here. i friend knew right away thats a penton six day 125. I'm still young and never heard penton before but i have always collected dirt bikes and i have many. i love vintage. after that day i could not stop thinking about it. months went by and then my friend showed up at my place and had it for sale. Told me i get first chance to purchase if not has others that want it. i could not let it leave my sight and had to get it. but it was a sad little bike. engine stuck, forks stuck everything was frozen, but complete. once i got it in my garage i spent hours just staring at it. and then the fun starts and the money flys. i have now rebuilt the engine complete, all bearings and seals and have it back together. it fired up first kick and runs great and shifts nice. i got a good ten hours on it now. and i like it more and more every time i ride it. Now the next step is tear it down and restore it. i have already spent $250 on high end paint. but I'm afraid to take away the original patina.its only original once.
