Penton Talk / Original plastic fenders
March 20, 2019, 08:09:27 PM
I restored my fenders ,using a small hand held sand blaster from harbor freight,  with compressed air, with arm and hammer baking soda,,  bought the big bags at Sam's Club, then  wet  sanded them with fine sand paper, then  fine steel wool,   Then 2 to 3 coats of plastic renew,  the looked like  new when done.. you can also  soda blast your engine cases and cyl head and cyl. And they look very nice.  Good luck with your project. Thanks john

Curtis museum  very cool place to  visit in Hammondsport ny , it's has a wide verity of  motorcycle, planes, boats, and other interesting  motor related  displays, well worth the  time and trip, be sure and check out   The Glenn  Curtiss 8 cyilinder motorcycle that he built in the 1907 era  that set a land speed record 136.4 mph.  I also believe that mr Curtis  built the first twist throttle system for motorcycles, they also will have a nice verity of off road and on road vintage motorcycles on display.
