Penton Talk / Jackpiner brake light
March 22, 2002, 12:14:09 PM
I have a '72 Jackpiner with a single tail light. To get the bike inspected in New York State it needs a brake light also. Has anyone done a modification to include both a tail light and brake light? Will the electrical system handle both? Where is the best place to install a brake light switch? Thanks for any advice.

Penton Talk / Jackpiner crank seals
November 13, 2001, 11:08:44 AM
I need to replace the crankshaft seals on my '72 175cc. Jackpiner. Do I need specal tools? Does the engine need to come out of the frame? Can an average person (me) do this? Thanks for any advice!

Penton Talk / Jackpiner trouble
July 11, 2001, 12:13:10 PM
I hope someone can help me with this. I have a 175 Jackpiner, 1972 , that was in a barn for several years. I did the usual cleanup (renewed carb parts, plug, air cleaner, fluid change etc.). The engine started and ran well for a minute, then progressively more smoke came out the tailpipe and the engine seemed to "load up" or "four stroke". At this point it will barely run with full throttle, with lots of smoke out the back. Any clue as to what I should check?
