grandpaul - a while ago you expressed and interest in locating/buying 125SD's. I have one that is on the back burner (other projects taking precedence) late 71, plastic tanker. Fully stripped with many good assemblies, bing and mikuni carb, good plastics. I'm in Fort Worth. Reply if interested.

Thanx Dave. Interested in how you set up front end. More detail if you please. Ever come to Texas World in College Station TX? Wicked fun, nothin' like an throw-away former NASCAR track to get yer jollies on, eh?.....Peace Out SD

Interested in how you developed a Penton roadracer. Near to my heart as I retired from CMRA F3 after too many close calls! Not to discourage me from turning my basket-case SD 125 into something perhaps more unique, however......

Thanx Rocket. Unfortunately after a Saturday tear-down, there is evidence of a major top-end slap. Know anyone who exchanges engines? This is a 125/6A.....

Have identified the type as a 72 125cc. Tank is a green fibreglass type, looks like a mailbox. Someone said it might be an ISDE. It that so?

Need to know either the fork oil height or the volume of oil in the forks on a 72 six-day 125. Also suggestions for base oil weight an agressive rider of 195#. Thanks STOO

Penton Talk / More '71 125cc SD Inquiries
August 09, 2001, 10:29:00 PM
Now swingarm bushings. As we say here in TX, they seem "wallered out". Anyone ever use brass bushings made to spec? And if so, to what ID and OD? Or...is a little "play" supposed to be in the swingarm linkage? Doug told me this would be the most fun I have ever had restoring a old bike. I have given up on the engine and a more rebuildable example MUST be requisitioned. Meanwhile I concentrate on the chassis, first things first. Thus the inquiry. Peace....Stoo

Penton Talk / Keihin Carb for 125/6A Sachs
August 09, 2001, 12:23:59 PM
I saw a few POGS with info and specs on a Mikuni 28mm carb for this engine. Anyone out there with baseline jetting and/or advice on using a Keihin 28mm roundslide carb?

Penton Talk / 72 125 Six Days Questions
August 06, 2001, 10:24:14 AM
Removed the motor Sunday and took the covers off. Does anyone know the relationship between the clutch pushrod and the clutch actuator in the case cover? It would appear that mine was out of adjustment and the actuator assemble burnished the end of the clutch pushrod. While I'm here, can one use a  6B engine in place of a 6A? And are there any resources on the web or otherwise where I can get an exploded view of the engine? Obviously I'm having fun with this one...Regards SD

New to Pentons (former roadie and now have a garage full of TY250's) and just purchased S/N 11152050. Can anyone help identify type, year, and displacement?
