I would really like an 81 MX tank but can use an 80 MX tank

Yes, the emblem was recessed into the tank on the 81 but not on the 80, I believe

Both the 80 and 81 were raised towards the gas cap versus the 79 style

The 82+ single shock tanks will not fit

This is great news !   I haven't seen Kevin in over 20 years but he is one tough SOB.  That toughness, combined with prayer from our "community" have pulled him through.
