Interesting topic.

I am not sure how much growth in POG membership is part of the strategy and desired. Bigger is not always better and growth could, for example, change the dynamics of the group, require more administration, etc

However, I believe it would be quite easy to rapidly grow membership of the POG by implementing a couple of small changes on the POG website. For example, a highly visible promo slot on the main page with clear value prop, an easy way to join by integrating a simple checkout process, the ability to manage membership online, and especially the support of standard online payment methods as this would allow international members to join the group.

Personally I think the POG membership for $20 is the deal of the century and with some design tweaks and aggressive promotion [ad banners etc] the group size could probably be doubled in size within a year or two. Again, not sure this is desirable.

I ordered a blue front fender for my Jackpiner 200LE and the folks at ktmworld.com did indeed verify my VIN number.

Also steel tank and CMF Pentons were sold in Europe as KTMs. Or KTMs were sold in the US as Pentons, depending on your view of the world.
Steel tanker KTMs were only sold in small numbers and are quite rare today I guess. Business really took of with the introduction of the '71 fiberglass tank KTMs.

What a fantastic idea!! I guess TV/Speedvison coverage would be key to attract sponsorship.

I was wondering for quite some time why KTM is not leveraging more its successful motorsport history for building brand recognition. They should learn from Ducati, the masters of building "mystique" around their brand name.

Wanted / For Sale / Wanted - 77- 79 KTM Trials

Reinhart, - I am very interested to learn more about the KTM museum in Italy...(?)
Is this a "Farioli" museum? Where is it located, and is it open to the public? More information would be greatly appreciated.

I know for sure that Felix Krahnstoever in Germany campained a KTM Trials prototype as well, so there must have been at least two machines.

Thanks,
Bernd
