Nice job Michajon. Can't wait to hear it ripping at AHRMA cross country races. 😎

Looks like a cool carburetor. I'm not familiar with that model but it looks like a flat slide design from the photo? For those of us vintage racing in AHRMA I thought we were restricted to round slide carbs? Maybe somebody could clarify here

Al thanks for sharing these great historic photos. Also thanks for continuing to supply us with parts to ride our vintage bikes!

I also have a 74.5 Mint 400 that I race in the AHRMA vintage class and as others have stated the shocks need to be run in the upright position to minimize rear wheel travel to 4" or less I believe

I have used the same method as Dave M. with good results. Enduroklassiker.at has both the short and long aluminum seat trims including hardware reproduced in Italy I believe, reasonably priced

Quote from: skiracer on October 13, 2024, 07:29:09 AMWell, the team bought a shipping container which is based in AL.  So, you have to get your bike there.  We hired the shipping company that the US ISDE team uses to ship their bikes.  From AL it is a door to door service (race site.)  This year we shipped 6 bikes in the container; total cost per bike is around $4,500.  Entry fee for the envent is $400.  Overall cost of the trip including building an existing bike, gear, travel, and all the "small" things you forget is around $13,000.  Yes, that is a lot of money, but, an experience like no other.

Thank you for the very detailed information. Sounds like a great trip and experience.

Excellent photo. This event has always been on my bucket list to participate in. Can you share approximate cost for shipping your bike over to Italy? I'm in Oregon so I realize it will be different. What is the entry fee for the Vintage Trophy event? Thanks for any information you can share. The logistics seem a bit overwhelming

Wanted / For Sale / Re: WTB foot peg springs

I believe the part numbers you want are 550.03.041.000 for left side and
550.03.141.000 for right side. Find some other parts you need as shipping is from Austria

Quote from: KJDonovan on July 06, 2024, 01:50:48 PMI am looking for a 14MM kicker knuckle like the one in the photo.  This one unfortunately has too much wear to be usable or repaired.  I know High Point sold these separately from the rest of the kicker back in the day, hoping someone here may have one kicking around – yeah, pun intended.

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin,

I have a complete 14mm kicker I would sell you. Only thing wrong with it is the detent that keeps it folded in doesn't work. If you give me a cell number I can text you some photos.

Oops, I just measured it and it is 17mm. Sorry about that.

Nice find, looks like a great bike. I bought a 74 Mint 400 last year that had  been sitting since 1975 with 239 miles on the odometer but not nearly in that condition as it had been stored poorly.

Roberto at motoraider.com carries original style brake light switches for the CMF bikes reproduced in Italy. They are gray plastic rectangular with 2 male electrical connectors. They are ZKW branded
