I have  a old air box that I belive may of been from a wassel trails bike. Can you describe what it looks like.

did anyone get the name or phone number of the photo guys at Casey. They had some good shots but I got rushed with bike problems and missed them. Randy Hermes

 

I finished third post vintage intermed. also on a piner. I fell on the third lap and rode to finish after that. The bad thing about the downhills was the fact that they got harder to stop as the day went on. I had fun but almost wish I would of rode my Mint.Rh

Thomas, I have a 75 400  set up for Mx and just bought a 75 175 I intend to wse in the CC events. jetting was driving me crazy on the 400 until I needed fuel at the event at Casey Ill. last year.It was the union 76 and  i was able to get plug color after that. The pump does not have a octain listed but it says Compition 110 across the top.

 

Thomas, The name on the pump reads Union 76 ,the official fuel of Nascar,. i think it is 104 octain and I use it straight adding only oil. I used to roadrace and found it at tracks that run Nascar events. I found it near a local drag strip.Rh

 

Wasn't the original question about fuel? I have found a local store  that sell Union 76 race fuel. I use it straight with my oil and never seen better plug colors. Is this different than Cam 2 and how would i know if my motor was running Too cold.

 

I ran into a similar situation at casey with my 400.My motor was running rich but detonated like an air leak.The last moto I ran I needed gas so I bought some track gas, 100 oct race gas.By just topping off my tank with the good fuel,my detonation was gone.If you are running pump gas try this before you attempt any jetting cure.

FROM READING YOUR POST ,IT SEEMS THIS IS SOMEWHAT A COMMON OCCURANCE. WHY WERE THESE RACES CANCELED,TRACK FLOODED,LIGHTNING STORMS,TORNADO WARNING,OR WHAT.I CANNOT IMAGINE TRAVLING TO A EVENT AND NOT GETTING TO RACE.

 

SORRY ROCKET,I LISTED MY 75 INCORRECTLY AS A 76.WHITE TANK MULTI POSITION SHOCKS.

 

STATORS I GOT,COILS I NEED.I HAVE A BUCKET FULL OF COILS WHICH ALL SEEM BAD. IS THERE ANY REPAIR OF THESE.

I just wanted to post a quick review of the CC event in W VA. The
track staff were very nice and hard working. They worked very hard
and prepared a good course. This being their first event in AHRMA
CC , I'm not sure they Knew what to expect. The track was mainly
three things, Steep uphill, Steep(scary) downhill, and Cross hillside
(greasy). The Camelback crew did a good job and deserve another CC
next year. After talking with the crew I belive next years track
will be beter. As for me, I need to start training or quit. Tom
Belemy and Shepard were flying on their YZ's. I was sucking Air bad
by lap Two. Time to train, Rh


 
 
 


 

The Dual sport ride at Renfroe Valley KY. is coming up on the 3rd and 4th of May. I plan to take my 1975 175 and ride both days. Anyone who has ridden the Livingston(909) or S-tree area know what a wonderful area this is. If any other vintage riders would like to ride out on the same minute please reply.
