Mike, the motor is a 79 250, the ser# starts with a 001 I dont rember the rest of the number. I was hoping that I had found something that had a unusual history to it. Well some one had spent a lot of money on it at one time. Mike thanks for the info, Greg

I have just pick up a 1980 ktm 250 at mid ohio. Iam planning on racing it in post vintage. Iam looking for a original front and rear fender for it. I am bidding on the rear fender you have on ebay, I hope that it is the right one for this bike. This bike I bought has fox factory forks and shocks on it, which I thought was quite unusual,so we think it may have a history behind it. If any pog members have any info on an old factory bike or a local pro that may have race this bike let me know. Thanks Greg

Hey Guys I messed with the bike for a few hours, and I think I have it figured out. I went with a 195 main 50 pilot and a 2.85 needle the needle seem to be the problem. The manual that I have, said to use a 3.24 needle but that was to big. Bob, I will see you on Sat. at mid ohio and thanks for the info.
