I'm a member at the Mansfield motorcycle club. We've talked about at meetings about doing a vintage harescramble. Anybody think this a good idea? Its a pretty good layout for vintage bikes.I was thinking about riding my 72' sixdays in the bomber class. Also some of the members have some great stories about the Penton family racing there.

I went to Vintage Days in search of some parts for my 69 Penton Berkshire project. Of course Al Buehner was a big help having alot of parts I needed. I was coming up short on finding the grey star clutch adjusters on the Magura levers. Bob Gilman had the rubber covers for the levers and said he had the star adjusters at home. He said "Just write down your address and I'll mail them to you". Well they just arrived in the mail today along with another lever and perch and i am so grateful. Wow the Penton people are the best!!!

Greetings everyone. I'd like to introduce my new baby boy Penton William Morris.
Born 3-12-12. He's perfect in every way and named in honor of our hero John Penton.
When I told John my idea of naming him Penton he approved and said he was honored.
I hope to bring him to a POG meeting soon.

My 72 6days has an aluminum front wheel and a chrome rear wheel. Is this stock? My rear is rusted pretty bad so I will have to take apart and get re-chromed.Should I do this or should I buy a new wheel? Also can I buy a rear sprocket for this bike?

I'm about to start restoration on my Penton.I need a carb.The rear wheel is rusted.Can I find a good one or should I re-chrome?? I'm in Cleveland.

Thanks for the info on Al Buehner.I stopped down to meet him and you were right,he was very nice and talked to me for about a half hour.I bought a manual and got some great info too.I'm going to be buying some parts from him as well as bending his ear of with questions....

 

I just bought a Penton 125 6 days.Sure its a basket case and a little rough but it will be a great project to work on.So first question.How can I tell what year and exact model it is?I'm from the Cleveland area.is anyone close by that I can have the bottem end of the engine rebuilt?
