I called fastenal co. they could'nt get the nut. I also called my local ktm dealer (mas cycle of fargo ND.)they would'nt even try and look up a part no. he rudely said they don't carry parts for (old) bikes.I'm sorry but what jerks!! I will give Al Buehner a call.

I'll check it out Thom, thanks. by the way this 85 mx seems technically advanced for its time. (inverted forks,disc brakes,etc.) does this hold true for your 76?

in need of the nut that holds the flywheel on. its a 1985 ktm 250 mx. the crank end is left hand thread and measures about 12mm.

I just got a 1985 KTM 250 mx. the stator came loose and destroyed itself. can i use a stator from a sachs?? they look identical except for 2 wire colors. is the timing curve the same?anyone got the correct stator? (good used) thanks for any help. what a great site!!

I'm trying to make 1 good 100cc sachs motor out of 2. both have bad cranks,1 has a good rod, i can't get the darn sprocket off!!! is it pressed on?? threaded?? HELP.it is a
1001 6B type. where can i get gaskets and seals? anyone have a motor to sell? crank?
