Hey Guys,
This is what I've been doing..tell them to send the Cashiers Check and you will be happy to transfer funds & get the bike ready for there transport company to pick it up, but you need $100.00 CASH in USD to cover your expences of going to the bank to complete the transaction..No takers yet, but how SWEET would it be scam the scammers:D..and at worst they won't bother you again..Buddy

Hi Guys,
I had the seller email me some close-up pics of the GS400..it's not in that great of shape once you see it close-up:(..I'd have been willing to go $1200.00 but not $2000.00 for it even with all of the extra's..but I don't know if you will even get the extra's for the reserve price..I could not nail down the seller as what it would take to get the extra's..I know Jon's '79 420 is in a different class but it's in alot better shape than this GS400..anyone want to see the close-up pics just email me an I'll send them to you..Good Luck & Happy Bidding..I'm out..Buddy

Penton Talk / AN OPEN LETTER TO POG
February 09, 2007, 01:58:08 PM
Let me say this I've never posted a personal attack against anyone on this site..and that includes Larry..although I did say he might be PMSing after seeing alot of crazy rants about someone posting about a Penton on eBay or posting in the wrong section..WHO CARES..I thought that this site was to Help people find, restore & race Penton motorcycles..so if someone feels like posting a bike or parts for sale on eBay or anywhere else..I say more power to them..everybody might not be able to spend an hour or so searching eBay everyday, but they may be able to jump on this site and see a post that could help them find some parts or bike that they need..and this is all I'm going to say on this subject FOREVER..Hope everyone has a G:):)D DAY..Buddy

Penton Talk / Shocking Question
January 10, 2007, 08:41:45 PM
Randy,
I put a set of NEW Piggyback Ohlins on my '79 KX250 acouple of years back..They worked GREAT and cost me $595.00..$700.00 is a good price as I spoke with Jerry at Ohlins USA afew months back and he quoted me $840.00 for a set of Piggybacks for my '82 Husky 430CR..I went the Ric route and got a set of older Ohlins Piggbacks from an '81-'82 Husky for $200.00..only problem was the shafts & bodies looked good on the outside but that was about it..cost another $300.00 to get them rebuilt..needed new seal heads, bushings, etc..I wish I had spent the other $200.00 and got the new ones or went with NEW Works Performance shocks..I'll never go with old shocks again..just my input..hope it helps..maicobuddy[8D]

Penton Talk / OT: ACL Tear Question
November 09, 2006, 06:55:08 PM
Huskyrider390,
I had a 50%+ tear in my Left ACL in 1977 and didn't get it fixed(on the advice of a #@*% Othropedic Doctor:(..he said you can cast it for 2 months and rehab it with physical therapy and with no health insurance I went that route..BIG mistake..I have had nothing but problems since and it's gotten awhole worst in my late 40's..I have had acouple of orthoscopes done to clean it up, but still must wear a knee(also Asterisk Cell) for any activity..my last trip to the Sports Doctor left me somewhat upset as I was told the only thing he could do for my knee was for me to have knee replacement surgery..not yet I'm going to put it off as long as possible..I will say this he said the Doctor that told me to cast it & rehab it was a NUT and that was terrible advice..what you gone a do 28 years later..anyway Good Luck..Buddy
