If you look around the site, there are tons of pictures.  Under 2003 there is a KTM calendar with some Pentons.

Penton Talk / Race or show?
September 13, 2006, 10:40:20 AM
My guess is that people are not really concerned with a regional event.  I was there both days this year, and have been there since they started the vintage stuff in 2002.  The track is always nicely prepared and vintage friendly.  The rain and mud have to be somewhat of a deterrent.  I'm not a big fan of it, but I like it better than driving 10 hours to race somewhere else.  I don't understand the low turnout either.  There is no pressure, the location seems good, but maybe it's not, I don't know.
There has been talk about starting an Ohio series, so hopefully people will start bringing out their bikes.  Maybe some people will chime in to let us know what they want so that they will show up at the races.

Does that mean I could possibly have a Six Days KTM?

It looks like a place to put a map.  Is this normal?  I have not seen this on other 250's like mine.

Penton Talk / Attention Ohio Area Racers

Western Reserve will be running a 2 day AHRMA regional event this weekend, Sept. 9th and 10th.  There will be both vintage and PV on both days.  There will also be a CC event on saturday.  It's a great track, and vintage friendly.  This will be the first year for the CC event, but I'm sure it will be good as well.  Hope to see you there!

There is a vintage race at Western Reserve Mx park in Salem, Ohio on
the 16th. It was announced mid-season and is being held by the
track, not by AHRMA. You don't have to be a member to race. For
more info stop by http://www.westernreservemc.com
It's a great track that is very vintage friendly.
We saw quite a few Pentons earlier this year.  Hopefully they can make it back again.

Wanted / For Sale / 1980 KTM 250 For Sale - $800
May 13, 2004, 11:35:00 AM
1980 KTM 250GS for sale.  Bike runs great, brand new PVL ignition, starts first kick.  Bike is too fast for me.  Bought it to race AHRMA CC.  The GS plastic has been replaced with MX plastic. Bike is not perfect, but is solid.  Trades welcome.  I don't have the funds to buy something else, but I wouldn't mind trading! Email [email protected] for pictures.

Penton Talk / 1980 GS250 Gas Tank

I am in the process of rebuilding my GS250.  My question is that the gas tank has 4 mounting holes on the top, looking like somewhere you would mount something.  I have not seen this on other GS250's and was wondering what they are for.  Any help would be appreciated.

Penton Talk / Bike Identification
August 21, 2003, 01:59:16 PM
Can anyone tell me what model KTM I have?  I have gotten the manuals for all of the 1980 KTM bike and engines.  According to the frame serial number - 001 *** - it is a 1980 model, but the engine serial number starts with a 54*, which says it;s a 250.  When I try to cross reference the motor in the parts manual, it looks as if the motor is a 350 or larger.  Can somebody tell me for sure what it is?
A picture of the bike can be seen here- http://f4.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/oAhFP2Wy5JFCdaEuTJl8kZYCP_JklZnYLnyhA56iSvE4E-LO4mRTHe0wXtKeYBlGMWRmRj0qDU8Gp-k_30HEDTamQf-hEnYtga6TuQ/1980%20KTM/1980%20gs250.jpg

Thanks!
