I don't get on here half as much as I would like to and just read  this post for the first time.  I would be very interested in a get together like this and have a venue to offer. I think it would be great to have a vintage ride, but your idea of a dry meet might be something I could help out with. I am located in Lake George, N.Y.
one hour north of Albany. I own a Golf Course and the  clubhouse is not used at all in the winter time.  Just something to throw out there.  I know that it is not real central but there is lot of lodging and such. Just an idea.  Scot Smith

Not sure if this be of interest to you, but there is an indoor cart track in Boston, Ma. "F1 Boston" designed after very popular facilities in Europe. This is a brand new first class place with two tracks that can be connected(I think that is when they bring out the twin two stroke engined carts), a great restuarant and bar that overlooks the tracks, large meeting facilities.I have only been there once and we had a BLAST, you must watch a quick video then fire suit, neck brace and helmet and off you go.  They give you a print out of all your lap times and everyone elses. These are real race carts and you pull some pretty good G's. I think they are builting an outdoor one on Long Island right also.  I highly recommend it, check it out

I have two Pentons for sale, a Steel Tanker early 70's and a 1974 250 Hare Scrambler.  I was trying to start a collection but economic hard times have forced me to put these bikes up for sale. The Steel Tanker is restored to original condition and the 250 Hare Scrambler is restored to new condition with all new parts and the motor was rebuilt by Barry Higgens of H&H and I might have the spelling of his last name wrong,but it has less than two hours of run time on the motor. We are located in Lake George, N.Y. and I am willing to deliver within 150 miles and I will only take right now, $6000.00 for both bikes as a package deal, not a penny less.  I am very busy and it might take me a week to answer e-mails but I will get back to whoever is seriously interested.  Please please do not waste my time with dickering because I will ignore you.  If you want these bikes e-mail for pictures. They are prestine and I am very proud to be the owner of them and I am not happy about having to sell them. I will only sell these bikes to Americans and they will have to stay in the U.S.

Ok guys I need some help.  I just brought out my two snowmobiles from storage in my enclosed trailer that I had parked in a semi shaded area and upon inspection of the engine compartment area I have a serious corrosion problem on the clutches and carbs,
cylinder head bolts and the outside of the engine cases.  Obviously from condensation but I need your expertise on [b]how to clean it up[/b]. Talking about this subject might help some people in their restoration projects and or how to prevent this type of degradation.  I am not a metalurgist but it seems that some metals are more suseptable to this than others. Why and how? What I am asking for is what product to use to clean it up, what techniques to use and what products work best and how to prevent this from happening while our precious machines are in storage.
