Ron it was I that wanted the skid plate. I saw this one on Ebay but was not sure it would fit my 74 250 restore. I'll take a closer look.
Thanks

Wanted / For Sale / 72 jackpiner
June 10, 2004, 01:31:45 AM
Kristie thanks for the interest but what you have is a 125 Six Days I was looking for a 72 175 Jackpiner. I am sure the others on this site will be interested in talking to you so give them a try. Mr, Carbaugh, thanks for the note I got one of the bikes that was being sold. Turns out the fellows name is Glen and you sold it to him. Glen says it runs good but he picked up another Piner and decided to let this one go. I'll give it a good home in sunny California.

Wanted / For Sale / A Note of Gratitude

I'll add to the kudos for owchboy. Bought some tank bumpers on ebay. when I went to send payment saw the name owchboy. I am a newer POG member but I recalled the name. Sent him an Email through the POG site asking if he had a 250 axle. When my bumpers arrived there was the axel. Plan on buying alot more from him in the future.

Thanks for the info, left email for the guy at ebay and the part number for my clutch cover is 5130001110. looks like I did not put the hole in it, it was in from a prior owner and sealed with tank seal on the inside of the cover.

Penton Talk / Where are the Pentons?
February 05, 2004, 06:59:11 PM
Feb 1, 2004 AMA District 37, Big Six Grand Prix at Taft California. 2 Pentons entered in the vintage event. My 250 and a 125 The 125 finished and I pulled out due to blown fork seals. Next race is March 7 in Glen Helen Ca. Whish I could find a 100 enduro ready for my kid. He would ride it instead of his honda 100.

Thanks for the tip, I just bid on the thing. It is not the big huge 20 lb metal one like I had 30 years ago but it should work a lot better. I'll know in 6 days. Thanks Again.

Penton Talk / Did you ever notice?
January 09, 2004, 12:45:51 AM
Dont worry about the future, I have a 12 year old and a 10 year old that think dads new 75 penton 250 is cooler than their KX 80 and CRF150.  I'll probably look fore a 125/175 when they get alittle taller and less crash prone. The more the young ones see these bikes and can ride them i think they will come around.
