More Enduro Footage

A couple weeks ago Ohio Ted put a post about some enduro footage. It was also on nedb's forum. Someone came along saying the guy really wasn't that fast. I'm thinking, this guy is looking for some  trouble. But he made some good points and then he posted an enduro that was just as tight, but faster. The camera quality isn't as good as Ohio Ted's video, but it's fast. And they tell you who is passing. I think the guy with the camera came in 4th.
Don't get me wrong, the guy in Ted's clip was fast ... very fast and smooth. This is just another clip to enjoy while the snow is piling up, at least it is, here in New England.

Living my whole life in the desert, It is amazing to me to see all the trees. Then to see people riding so fast thru them is mind boggeling.  I swear, I think I would every one.

Garrett,You should of seen the tracks we cut our teeth on back in ohio and southern Michigan.Scrambles in the early spring and late fall.Mud holes with ice for bottoms,tracks lined with monster oaks and maples.Mattresses wrapped around some,bikes around others.Seen front wheels driven back into the frames.And us some in jeans,overalls and the rich boys were wearin lace up linemans boots from the sears catalog.Open face helmets,work gloves.Thinkin back on some of the battles with Greenberg,the Piasecki's and the rest.We were tough,very tough.

Hey Gordon, here is a video that gives a different perspective since it is not a helmet cam. I have posted it before so it will be a repeat for some. Your post reminded me of it so I'm linking it again.  Freakish fast riding. (But @ the RR I also had the chance to see lots of blazingly fast riding in person on vintage machinery). Regards, John

G, as someone who has done both East and West racing (I raced D-37 desert from '83-'90) they are both equally hard in different ways. I like tight eastern woods, and I have gotten better at them, but I still feel more comfortable at higher speeds in more open stuff. Guys like Dwight who have spent their whole lives in tight woods like that still amaze me at how fast they can go.

Me too Garrett. It's not like I'm getting younger. There was one in Vermont a few years ago I should have gone to, at Jim Hollricks place.

OK, back to shoveling snow. At least 12" last night and still coming down!!

Well...that does help to get me thru the holidays.  Thanks for the post.  And how neat to see The Kings of Enduro - Lafferty and Bobbitt, as well as Shane Watts, go by.  Lafferty disappears, but we actually get to watch Bobbitt a bit - what an amazing dance thru the trees. And of course a validation of how fast the 250A rider was with the helmet cam.

Whooooweee - are these guys fast.
