I have raced D37 desert for years so here is my two cents worth. Where that race is being held, I do not expect there would be a lot of lava rock infested uphills. Expect lots of whoops and sand (run a steering stabilizer)and make sure your suspension is dialed in. I run a Dunlop D756 front tire (works well in the sand) with a heavy duty tube. Make sure that you have a good TM design chainguard and some sort of disc guard. Handguards are a good idea as well and if you want to get really trick, run a set of the Flexx handlebars to minimize the arm pump. If the WORCS race isn't enough for you, come on out to my club's (Vikings MC) D37 National Hare and Hound on April 25th for a close up look at some tough terrain and rocky hills.

That will be great Garrett.  Middle of April I should be there.  What is that place like?
