Cory B. won the Cherokee National Enduro in Greensboro, GA today. Yamaha rider Charlie Mullins was the fastest rider for most of the day, but in the next to last wood section, he bent his rear brake pedal underneath the engine case and lost over 2 minutes. Russell Bobbitt finished second Overall, Mike Lafferty third, and Mullins fourth. This is Cory's very first National Enduro win.

Gary, Is Cory contacted by KTM to ride the nationals or is doing this on his own? I know he has a contact for the GNCC's, did KTM rework his contract? I would love to see him win it all, he's a great kid.  Stork

Nice job Cory! I was looking toward the bottom at the jurassic classes where I'd be and noticed that the lone female entrant had a formidable time. Thanks for the link, David.

Hi Stork,

His contract is for the GNCC's series only. Cory wants to ride the whole Enduro series, and he told the team manager that he would do it for no contingency money, but I don't think that the team manager wants him to because there is already contracted KTM and Husaberg riders in that series.

Great racing, Cory.  You have to first finish before you can finish first.   The fastest rider not always wins.....   I always used to run a small diameter cable from the front of the frame to the brake pedal.   It helped with keeping the small stuff out of the brake pedal.   I have even had small trees "apply" the brake for me unexpectedly.
