Thursday night June 3rd. is the next POG meeting.  The location is the KTM building just outside of Amherst, Ohio.  Start time is 7 pm.  I think we are going to have a special guest and I am looking forward to meeting him and his friend from the Toledo area.

Greg Troyan did the "what's in your garage" segment last month and he picked some guy from Mars to do it this month, thanks Greg :)

Hope to see you there,
Paul

Does he still have the "fro" that he is sporting in the home page photo?

I will bring my camera for some photos of our special guest that evening.  I am real good at taking photos, but not very good at posting photos....   This meeting should be a real treat for everyone in attendance.   I heard that there will be a "special edition" of "What's in my Garage".   Joe

Funny thing about the fro.You know how he talks about how tough it was to get it in his brain bucket.Man he didn't even try he used to use about a half a can of aqua net on it,let it set up and go!I spent alot of time tryin to figure the best spot to pass him because you couldn't see around that birds nest on his head.

In talking with a certain Penton parts supplier from Cleveland yesterday, who shall remain nameless [8D], tonight is the meeting, not tomorrow night.  His days were mixed up because Monday was a holiday, I think he might have been the only one at the meeting Friday night.....

Hope to see you there.

What a night we had last night, 32 folks attended the meeting with 6 states represented, New Mexico, Arizona, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan and PA. We sure enjoyed having all the the first time attendees joining with the regular gang for the evening.

Jeff Greenberg sure had some interesting stories to tell, the look on his face when he realized that John was sitting right behind him was priceless.

Looking around the room and seeing the number of folks attending who had major positions with Penton "back in the day" is always impressive.  Last night we had quite a line up with Larry Maiers, Matt and Barb Weisman, Doug Wilford, Dane Leimbach, Jack Penton and the man himself John Penton all in attendance.

Thanks to all of you for making the evening one of the best yet.

Doug Wilford presented an interesting photo of a Sachs main shaft gear which had fractured completely in three places around the circumference.  He said that he had never seen a gear split apart like that.   The shifter key was also broken.   Doug cautioned us regarding the use of some aftermarket shifter keys which are not properly hardened.  He said some will actually break in the threaded area upon assembly.                                                Paul Danik was the candidate for "What's in your Garage?"  He did a great job, and had lots of interesting items with a special story behind each one.

Hey all, It was a thrill to be at my first POG meeting and meet everyone! My two friends, Jim and John, kept saying how friendly everyone was to them. I pretty much could not shut them up the whole way back to Toledo! Thanks again to Paul and all of you for a great evening.

Had a great but somewhat "wet" weekend of riding up by Traverse City.
Got 100 miles in though!
