Hi All, I think these shocks are Curnutt, at leasst I'm pretty sure the shorter pair are.  They look just like a set on my original 1978 390OR Husky.  I'm not sure about the other pair, but the bushings and cooling fins look the same.  What do you guys think?  Also, does anyone have an adress or phone # for Curnutt?  Thanks.

Curnutts they are indeed.  Talk to Rod Gorzny about them.

Can't see the photos (blocked) but my "78" 390 Husky had 14 7/8" Girlings as stock shocks.

The shorter set came off a 76 250 WR Husky and are 13-5/8".  I'm thinking about a rebuild and use on my harescrambler for cross country events.  What do you guys think about their performance for CC on a Penton?

Mick,

As long as the spring rate is right they would work fine.  If you run your Hare Scrambler in the laydown position they should be close. I never ran them but a lot of people like them.  Rod Gorzny is plenty knowledgeable about them and has rebuilt them quite a bit.

Thanks Larry, I'll get ahold of Rod.
