That's a Norton rider, not a Penton rider.

Not Ron. (Norton backwards)

Yep,  I think Bob's won the prize.  Dick Klamfoth, Daytona.  I went to the AMA Hall of fame web site and read up on almost every rider. Alot of Penton riders are in the Hall of Fame.  Pretty neat stuff.  Good quiz!  Thanks

During the business meeting at VMD this year, we had 3 people who claimed to be the mystery home page photo rider.  From left to right, Ted Del Solar, Jake Fischer and Bud Green.  (Bill Smith with microphone.)

After the audience quizzed all 3, it was confirmed that Bud Green was the home page rider!  This picture of Bud and JP was taken at the ISDT Reunion Ride, McArthur, OH, October 3-4, 2009

It sure is a lucky thing for all of us that Nelson McCullough was wearing his Penton hat a few years back while getting a bite to eat at one of his favorite Daytona Beach hangouts. For those of you who don't know the story, by chance Bud Green was there also and he took notice of Nelson's hat and made a comment about riding Pentons "back in the day". Nelson, being the great Penton ambassador that he is, picked up the ball and eventually found out just who he was speaking with, and as they say the rest is history.

Personally, I was not aware that Bud had run Daytona on the beach course till we were talking at the Daytona 200 Monument Day a couple of years ago. Seeing Bud and John leave the starting line at last years ISDTRR ride will always be one my favorite memories.

Bud and Pat sure are a wonderful couple, if you see them at an event be sure to say Hi, you will be glad you did.
