Anybody have a complete GP seat for a 125 Penton for sale? LG finished the Penton for me and, with exception of a better seat, it is good to go. I need the tall/short seat, the tallest seat possible, since I'm 6'4" and fell like I am on an 80cc bike.....but I love the bike. It's good to be Penton mounted again. Could also use a nice MX tank, if someone has a reasonably priced tank for sale. I have the bigger enduro tank, just want the smaller 1.6 gallon MX tank, or whatever capacity it is??

Thanks,

Clay

Hi Dave,

Just got the pics, thank you. I replied to the email address, the one that the photos came from, and realized that was your son's email address. I sure can use the tank, just what I am looking for.
I'll call you tomorrow.

Thanks,

Clay

Hi Dave,

I got the tank today. It showed up to my place of work at 12:30. It looks good, just what you said it would be. I am wondering how I can get rid of the bad gas and smell, though. My boss, a KTM freak and major old bike collector, came running out of his office and said he could smell the "30 year old gas" clear across the plant....Not sure if that was a good thing or not?? I kind of liked it, not sure if he did, though! Anybody have any good ideas how to rid of the tar-like residue and smell? I love the tank.....thanks so much. A money order will be sent tomorrow.

I've had good luck soaking tanks in a 5 gallon bucket filled with hot water, mineral spirits, and spic N span. Every few days I pour the ooze that surfaces off the top, and keep going until it stops producing, refreshing the solution as needed. it takes a couple weeks, but I just let it soak while working on the rest of the bike.

Many people coat the inside of their tanks to be safe - I believe Mike Winters is an expert at coating & will do it for a reasonable fee.

Whatever you do - don't put any gas with ethanol in an old tank.
