POG inter e-mail not ?

If this function does not work is there a way to have a notice before a member thinks his email is getting to the other member. Many a member thinks it is working because the function pops up . And they wonder why I don't get back to them. I guess in each posting made one could write a note that POG e-mail not working. Any ideas.... thanks LG

LG, there is no way to change the email function.  I will look into again to see if there is a fix for the problem or perhaps a newer version of the software out there.

Many of us are using our real names. I'm willing to bet the ones that aren't, wouldn't care if the rest of us new their real names.
This is probably the friendliest and obviously most tight knit group of motorcycle people I've been involved with.
Why wouldn't everyone want their email address known? At the top of this page, on the right hand side, under Penton Owners Group is a list of areas to go to on the forum. Why not add another that everyone can go to in order to contact another member. Why would someone here, not want there email address known? Just post a list of members with their email address right next to it. Hell, I'll put my phone number there as well. If someone doesn't want to have theirs known because they are involved with the witness protection program or whatnot, don't list it.
If a bad person wants to find you, they will. Somehow I'm thinking you won't be giving up anything by listing your email address here, on the POG site. A simple list. It's really that simple. Alphabetically, or any way you want to. Like this:

Gordon Brennan / Outstanding Member, Phenomenal Rider, Wonderful Father & Husband / Best Cabinet Maker both sides of the Mississippi [email protected] 860-774-6994

You can leave out the personal truthes if you want.
Seems like someone's been trying to fix what's wrong since I joined. Forget it. Do something different and simple that works.

P.S. Maybe the husband part was over the top.

Relax?? .... I'm the most relaxed person you could meet. I just tend to see things as they are. If it's not broke, leave it alone. If it is, fix it; the fastest and easiest way possible, and move on. Must be my Yankee upbringing.

I have mentioned this before, each time it comes up, but can't you just mark it as non-operational so the folks that either forget or new ones that don't know it won't work assumes they have sent an internal email and wonder why they get no response? Mike

It wouldn't be a good idea to list email address somewhere else--spammers can get them and then you will be overloaded with unwanted emails.  I'll have to look into marking it as "non-operational".  It would be a program change.  Some code is available to change while sections are not...

Actually, if you have the membership list that comes with the newsletter, you've got the addresses as long as the ones listed are current..
