New Member Intro

Hello all, my name is Tom Murphy.  I am in Cincinnati and love motorcycles of almost any flavor (as it seems many of you do as well).  I joined the Penton Owners Group back in 2000 but went inactive after a couple of years.  I've been distracted with other bike projects and never really got started on the project that drew me here to start with.  I have a 1973 250 Hare Scrambler that I purchased in 1979.  I was in Kansas City at the time and did a lot of amateur racing and trail riding, what a great bike.  I've got it on the bench now and will doing a complete restoration.  I've already learned a lot from searching the forum and look forward to meeting some of you great folks.  My goal is to bring it to VMD in July!

Welcome Tom, Jerry is of course quite right this is the best site period. I more than likely never get to meet you because I am all the way up here in the North west and I just do not get back that way... Some day it would be cool to meet a bunch of you back in that part of the woods  good luck on your project.

Tom, Welcome to the forum. Glad to see a fellow Cincinnatian(?) here. I'm in the NCH area. I have a few spares parts here & there, if you need something. Most of buddys are into both vintage & modern dirtbikes and the one has a 77 250 harescrambler.

Tom,  Rob W. had a great idea to suggest the POG meeting in Feb. at the AMA Museum near Columbus, Ohio.  Everyone will be glad to meet you there.  The museum is a great display of motorcycle history, and motorcycles.  Some POG members bring their Pentons to display for other members to view.  Hope to meet you there, or at VMD's, if not sooner.  Joe

Welcome to the POG.  I will agree this is the Best site on the WEB.  If you have a Penton Question,, these folks have the Answer!   Trust me, I've had some doozies and the answers were spot on.

A couple of questions new members always seem to have is How to post Pics, Paint codes and Fuel?  I would suggest doing a search on each one of these topics.  Caution new Pump fuel eats the tank.

Going to a POG meeting and VMD is on my Bucket list and I will make it one of these days
