400 motor in a short travel, short wheelbase, gusseted 175 frame. Billet triple clamps, Gold valves, Works Performance shocks. Motor has been stroke 2mm with a modern KTM 380SX rod, piston is 3mm over modern Wiseco Pro-Lite out of a Polaris atv, oversizes readily available. Custom cylinder liner with vintage Yamaha reeds, 39.5mm Mikuni, weighted Motoplat flywheel, KTM 495 pipe, and transmission has some mods to improve shifting over stock. Raced twice, sorted, starts very easy, smooth and very powerful. Blue small mx tank, not a show stopper, but nice and mechanically sound. $2800, very firm, I am starting a works bike saving account!

Wow - Jp, If I were in the market for a 400 (and man enough to race one...) I would want a bike built by you.

Knowing how you do things - anyone in the market for an open class AHRMA racer should jump on this.

Anyone that is in the market for an open class Penton should seriously consider this bike.  JP's craftsmanship is world class and his asking price is a fraction of what it would cost to duplicate this bike!

JP,

Sounds like quite the bike.

Can you forward a couple pictures?

I'm finishing up a 175 Jackpiner build for my daughter and trying to figure out what's next for me.

Where are you located?
