Penton record at Bonnieville

Greetings,

    Over the years there has been some mention of a class record at Bonneville that was set by a Penton. I have done some research looking for any details of the record and have come up empty handed.  Does anyone have any information on this record, if in fact it did exist?

Paul,

I have several books on Bonneville & could not find anything, but, while on the web I found this clue    " Al Born showed a page from a 1976 Cycle magazine that Bob Neruda had sent him that showed that Penton motorcycles had set new speed records in the 100 and 175 cc classes at Bonneville."      I think it was from the minutes of a 2006 meeting.
