Breather tube

I am freshing up my 76 MC5 and I have got it all back together, I painted the side covers and they look great. Here is the thing, the breather tube that fits into the ignition cover broke a year a two ago and I was wondering if anyone knows were I might get a replacement, I had ask Al a couple of years ago but he did not have such a thing, any of you guys have any ideas.. I can make it work but it would be cool to find the right thing..
It was white plastice witha right angle section that screwed into the cover.. Maybe the best thing is to just seal up the hole. Some have suggested that it would be best, what ya think.

If you are looking for the part that screws into the cover, KTM still uses them on the new bikes, the vent from the gas tank goes to that style fitting.

Thom,
Don't seal up the hole.  It helps prevent condensation and you know water does to these cases.

I have been told just the opposite, with the breather tube being so close to the cylinder fins, I was told it actually it promotes condensation.

Not sure were I remember reading it, but I think it was somewhere on this site.  If a little condensation did build up in the tube, at least there is a way for the moisture to escape with the vent tube.  If it is sealed up I would think that if there is any condensation built up on the inside without the vent, it would sit there.  Also, is there a risk of pressure issues with the heat build up if there is no vent?

Smarter minds than mine hopefully will chime in.
