Burned on E-bay

I know many of you don't like to do bussiness on ebay and I believe that everbody choses their own path. Just hope nobody buys anything from this guy as he was unable to send me an item as it was described. After sending pics and measurements to him he produced a second item and shipped it to me. It was exactly the same as the first item and I was unable to use it too. After contacting him he said he was under no obligation to refund my money and that he had checked with both ebay and paypal. I put everything in a box and paid to ship it back to him. He then informed me that he would refund my money once it got to him. Upon arrival he paypaled me some of the money with no explanation as to why he failed to refund the total amount. At that point I got in touch with ebay and they informed me that since more than 45 days had passed I was no longer protected by the buyer protection. I explained that the item was located in England and it takes 45 days just to ship one way ... Sorry! Nothing they woiuld do about it. I only lost out on $25 and it could have been worse if the guy had decided not to send any money there is nothing I could have done. Bottom line is that when you have a problem open a case immediatly with ebay so everything is in the works if the seller fails to help you. Oh yeah, and buy the way this guy is selling steel braided brake lines under the name of WEZMOTO:(. BEWARE this guy. Thanks.

I could't find anything on WEZMOTO even under completed listings. Mike
**Just curious, I like to make a mental note about not so reputable sellers to avoid them in future eBay dealings. I buy a lot of items on eBay, even in my work. I found them under wezmoto-eu**

If you really need to see his items. Search, steel braided brake lines wezmoto. He has 33 item currently listed. He doesn't make these lines and just middlemans them. I found this out after the fact. They are made by HEL in England. That was on the box in the second set he shipped out. Not sure why you would want to see his items. I told you to stay away from this guy?

Even if you don't buy an item from ebay but use paypal for payment, the 45 day limit on recourse for flakey sellers applies-after 45 days you are s.o.l...I found this out the hard way-don't ask me how i know this:(.Thankfully it's only happened once and most sellers are ok.Buyers Beware is all i can say.

Early on, I was burned lots of times. However, it was the other way around. People would buy from me, pay me, I would ship and then they would claim they never received. This was before I learned to ship with a method that showed proof of delivery. It was my fault for not knowing better. Now everything I ship is Priority Mail or FedEx with delivery confirmation.
