Rear spokes

I'm trying to replace 2 sprocket side spokes on my '73 250 HS.  There is a plate that covers the spoke ends inside the rear brake.  I've removed both circlip's, but I am unable to remove the plate.  The manual does not describe this and I am trying not to break the plate.  Any help would be appreciated.

I figured it out.  The plate will pop right out with a little persuasion.  Some compressed air did it for me.
