Super Trap installation on 125 and 175 Pentons

Does anyone have any experance with installing the 3 inch super trap on a 125 or 175 penton. Replacing the existing silencer on an MC 5 or GS , 125 sixdays or 175 piner?
 I am in the process of doing that on a 77 175 MC5 pipe. Called Super Trap and they could be of no help. Stock singer is 7/8 OD , 7 inches long and is perfferated with a tube around it and glass sandwiched into silence noise. Can i cut the old stinger silencer off and add the Trap or do i need to fab a new stinger and add the trap to that?
Any help would  greatly be accepted
