On Saturday June 1st., the POG will be having a very special meeting. This meeting will take place in the vicinity of the Penton Farm Market, the Penton Racing Products building which was the original Penton Brothers Machine Shop, and the building that housed the original Penton Brothers Motorcycle Agency which was actually a converted chicken coup. The Penton Sportcycle can pretty much be traced back to these very historic buildings and the grounds that surround them.

After our monthly POG business meeting, a guided walking tour of the Penton grounds and explanations of the buildings will be lead by John and Jack Penton. These grounds and buildings also played another significant role in the history of the Penton,  numerous photos used in Penton and Hi-Point brochures, as well as in the John Penton and the Off-Road Motorcycle Revolution book written by Ed Youngblood, were taken in this area. We will be scouting out the exact locations of some of these historic photos as we walk.

Please bring you Penton motorcycles with you to this meeting as we plan on doing a display of these machines, along with some memorabilia, in an area that will be seen by many of the local folks.
Once you arrive at the meeting location you will not need to drive any further. We plan on starting the POG meeting at 1 o'clock. More details will follow as the meeting date approaches.

This very special meeting and tour would not be possible without the hospitality of the Penton Family, and for this we are extremely grateful.

An  event not to be missed! Will this be the extent of the 45 year anniversary celebrations in this area for Penton?  Harry

Harry,

Yes, this gathering is intended to be a combination of the winter meetings that were held at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum for a number of years and at the National Packard Museum last year, as well as a tribute to the 45th. anniversary of the Penton.
