Word has it VMD is the weekend before Wauseon if I remember right from the last POG meeting.

Wauseon "Bike Days" Motorcycle racing is July 19, 2013 and is advertised already, not sure of the meet.  Hope it isn't the same weekend as Mid Ohio.

The McKee Farm AHRMA cross country race is the 27 and 28, hope not that weekend either!

I haven't made it to VMD yet because of a conflict with the EAA AirVenture convention in Oshkosh each year. I think it's usually the last weekend in July. In the past, VMD has always been the weekend that the convention opens on, and I can't do both. Looking at the calender for 2013, and going by past experience, I'm guessing the dates for 2013 will be the weekend of July 27,28. And that's just a guess, haven't looked at the AMA website yet to see if they have any info, but an even of that size has to be planned a year in advance on a dedicated date to encourage return attendance. When I check in at the dorm room at Oshkosh, they have the dates for the following year there all laid out and I make the following years reservations when I check in. Like I said, for an event the size of VMD, I would think that they would follow a similar plan.

Hi all,
Just a reminder that the deadline to keep the same swapmeet spaces as in previous years is fast approaching. Returning vendors must have their application submitted to the AMA by March 30, 2013 to retain the same swapmeet spaces as 2012. The swapmeet space and advanced purchase weekend passes are the same price in 2013 as they were in 2012. The swapmeet map for 2013 looks the same as in previous years except they have completely renumbered all of the swapmeet spaces. I called and talked to Sandi Dunphy at the AMA yesterday and she assured me that if you put your space numbers from 2012 on the renewal application that she will cross reference and assign you the same exact location as the previous year but only this year you'll have an updated space number. The renewal form is online but if you have trouble finding it just send me an email and I can send you the PDF file. Once again the dates for VMD are July 19-21, 2013 and vendors can enter on Thursday July 18th between 8am and 7pm. Looking forward to another fun year at VMD so see you there !!

Just checked the AMA site for VMD info. Still listing last years aganda, you'd think that by now they would have this years figured out.
